Join the 1 Million Cups Revolution
They say it takes 1 million cups of coffee to start a business. Loudoun Economic Development
, in conjunction with the Mason Enterprise Center
, is facilitating this process for Loudoun's entrepreneur community (and they're even providing the coffee!).
Each Wednesday at 9:00 AM
, members of Loudoun's business community gather for an informal meeting of the minds that offers two local entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their startups to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors and entrepreneurs.
How it Works
Presenters prepare a six minute educational presentation and engage in 20 minutes of feedback and questioning after they present.
What's the Goal for the Presenters?
After they present, there is a free exchange of ideas in which entrepreneurs gain insight into possible ways they can improve their businesses, gather real-time feedback and connect with a community that truly cares about their progress and success. Presenters will walk away feeling like they have advanced their entrepreneurship endeavors.
What's the Goal for the Audience?
Whether it is through just hearing the presenters' ideas, or deeply engaging with the entrepreneurs and offering advice and resources, One Million Cups attendees often feel like they walk away with a deeper understanding of the Loudoun start-up community-- not to mention a room full of new contacts that may help them in their own future endeavors.
Signing up is simple: just head over to our 1 Million Cups page and follow our community. You can find out more information, view photos from past presentations, and even sign up to be considered for future presentations. You can also post and stay engaged with Loudoun's start-up community.
